Welcome!

I am a storage architect for ViON Corporation. ViON creates solutions for government entities and corporations requiring storage and server refreshes, support, and maintenance. Please visit the ViON webpage by clicking the link on the right. The right column provides links to trusted hunting and fishing outfitters. All come highly recommended.

In our high tech world data accumulate faster than collection and storage can manage the barrage. The transitions, stunning in their modalities, express as an evolution from grid computing to the all pervasive "cloud" structures. Fibre Channel, currently the king of islands of storage, is now morphing rapidly into SAS architecture connected by converged networks...it's not too soon to predict its demise. All of this driven by constraints on space, power, heating, and cooling leading to a "green" IT world.

Periodically, when the creative juices flow they spawn a new rendition of my pages. There is no longer a tech blog, many fine ones inhabit the web and time does not permit keeping current. The objectives, simplify the pages and make them load faster, be more readable, keeping content germane . Advances in the hitech arena trigger the need to update.

We like to think our web presence contains substance of importance, even given the static nature of its content. Keeping folks interested in static content measures our capability for designing and updating. Content represents our outward face, design our intrinsic and hopefully pleasing value. In web parlance, static content changes, just not constantly. Mainly static content tends to get added to and thus grows, more data to infest the cloud. The problem created, more bandwidth eaten up. We all complain about the slow net, we all contribute to its slowness. Indeed technology creates a population explosion, engulfing the ether comprised of limited bandwidth.
